The Master of Business Administration (MBA) of Digital University Kerala is a 2-year, full time, on-campus program. The degree will be generic without specialisations, but the student gets the opportunity to take elective courses in applied verticals like Business Analytics, Digital Governance, Technology Management, Information Security Management, and Digital Transformation, as well as in functional verticals like Marketing, Human Resources, Operations, Systems and Finance. Innovative curricular structure, course content, and pedagogy will ensure that the MBA program offered by the Digital University Kerala is updated for the digital era and stands out from the typical industrial-age MBA programs offered elsewhere. The program strives to inculcate the highly desirable traits of creativity, empathy, leadership, conflict and crisis management, disruption, and dynamic decision making necessary to lead change and transformation in the digital age. The curriculum will be divided into a required (core) and elective set of courses; the first year comprising mostly or entirely of core courses and the second year consisting of about 25% core and 75% elective courses.
The qualifying degree will be Bachelor’s degree of at least 3 years duration or Master’s degree of at least 2 years duration from a recognised university.
Minimum score of 60 percentage marks OR CPI/CGPA of 6.5 or above in 10 points in the qualifying degree. Rounding off of marks is not allowed. A candidate with CGPA less than 6.5 will also be eligible if the equivalent percentage for graduation is above 60% as per the respective university norms for conversion from CGPA to percentage. In such a case, the candidate will have to produce the official document or percentage equivalence certificate from the respective university showing CGPA to percentage conversion norms, at the time of admission. Students who have scored less than 60% in their graduation degree are not eligible for admission to the courses of Digital University Kerala. Candidates belonging to SC/ST and Persons with Disability categories are eligible for applying if they have minimum pass marks in the qualifying examination. SEBC candidates of Kerala State who are certified as belonging to non-creamy layer are eligible for 5% relaxation in the minimum required marks for qualifying examination, provided that the candidates have passed the examination.
Candidates who have appeared or are appearing for the final year/semester examination may also apply for the PG Programs provided that they satisfy the following two conditions
In other words, applicants to undergraduate programmes who are appearing for compartmental/improvement/supplementary examinations are not eligible for this privilege.
Candidates must have a valid score (tests since Nov, 2021) in CAT (IIMs), GRE(Code: 3457), CMAT (AICTE), KMAT (Kerala), XAT (XLRI), or NMAT/GMAT (GMAC) on the basis of which they will be called for Group Discussion/Written Ability Test and interview, provided they have submitted the test score cards while submitting the application. Those failing to submit the score card (copy or scanned copy) will not be included in the rank list. Admission rank-lists will be prepared on the basis of an index score.
