The Social Engagement Center (SEC) is an integrated institutional initiative that brings together three major programs—Digital Access for Community Empowerment (DACE), Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), and the National Service Scheme (NSS)—to promote structured student engagement in community development.

The SEC connects students with community initiatives, encouraging them to participate actively in social causes through volunteering. This involvement enhances students' personal and professional growth by improving social skills, building networks, and developing organizational abilities. SEC helps students gain practical experiences, preparing them to be global citizens with technological expertise and social responsibility. In addition to its focus on advanced technologies, the university offers a range of clubs and community initiatives that foster students' holistic development, enriching their careers and personal lives.

Vision

To create a vibrant and inclusive platform where students can actively contribute to social development, build meaningful relationships, and enhance their personal and professional growth. SEC envisions a future where students from Digital University Kerala are recognized as leaders in technology and community service, driving positive change locally and globally.

Mission

Foster a strong connection between students and the community by promoting active participation in social causes. Through volunteering and community engagement, SEC aims to cultivate socially responsible global citizens equipped with technological skills and a deep commitment to societal betterment.

Goal

Foster a culture of social responsibility among students by actively engaging them in community service and volunteerism. Through this engagement, SEC aims to develop students into socially conscious global citizens with advanced technological skills and a strong commitment to contributing positively to society. The centre seeks to bridge academic learning with real-world impact, equipping students with practical experiences that enhance their personal growth, leadership abilities, and professional skills.
