LIBRARY TECHNOLOGY

The Certificate Course in Library Technology (CLT) is a three-month, practice-oriented certificate program offered in association with the Knowledge Center.

The program is designed to equip learners with modern library technology skills required in academic, public, school, and special libraries. The course combines traditional library science concepts with contemporary digital tools and platforms, including KOHA ILMS, DSpace, Zotero, AI-assisted research tools, RFID systems, digital repositories, and web-based library services.

The program follows a blended, hands-on learning approach consisting of lectures, demonstrations, laboratory sessions, assignments, and a practical capstone project. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Certificate in Library Technology, and the earned credits will be uploaded to the National Academic Depository (NAD) through APAAR ID.

Applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.

Preference will be given to:

  • BLISc / MLISc degree holders
  • Library professionals
  • Candidates working in library and information science environments

Final-year students awaiting results may also apply provisionally.

Programme Fee Details

  • Total Course Fee: ₹35,000/- (inclusive of GST)

  • Application Fee: ₹5,000/- (non-refundable and payable after submitting the application for the course. A payment link will be shared with the applicant upon successful submission of the application.)

  • Admission Fee: ₹15,000/- (payable at the time of admission)

  • Final Instalment: ₹15,000/- (payable before the final examination)
