National Service Scheme (NSS)
National Service Scheme is a flagship Central Sector Scheme of the Government of India under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. It aims to develop students’ personalities and character through voluntary community service, fostering a spirit of social responsibility, leadership, and nation-building. We became an active participating institution of NSS in 2023, which represents an important move towards integrating academic learning with community engagement. Since its inception, the NSS unit has been actively involved in nurturing socially responsible and empathetic student volunteers. The NSS unit serves as a dynamic platform where students engage with real-world social issues, gaining hands-on experience while contributing meaningfully to society.
NSS unit regularly organizes a wide range of activities, including:
- Community outreach and awareness programmes
- Health, hygiene, and sanitation drives
- Environmental conservation initiatives
- Digital literacy and capacity-building sessions
- Cyber Security Awareness
- Social campaigns on pressing societal issues
- Volunteering in local community development projects
