The Placement and Career Guidance Cell plays a pivotal role in shaping students’ career trajectories by bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. The University has established a strong, well-structured Training and Placement ecosystem, led by a full-time Placement Chair and supported by faculty coordinators and student representatives. This structured approach ensures systematic career preparation and professional development for all students.
Placement readiness begins from the first semester itself. The Placement and Career Guidance Cell conducts comprehensive placement-oriented training programmes that develop both technical competencies and professional skills. Through continuous mentoring and skill enhancement initiatives, students are groomed to meet the evolving demands of the digital economy and emerging technology sectors.
The Placement and Career Guidance Cell is committed to providing placement assistance to every student. Alongside campus recruitment support, the Cell offers career counselling and guidance to help students identify suitable career pathways. Special emphasis is also given to encouraging entrepreneurship, self-employment, and social entrepreneurship, enabling students to become job creators as well as job seekers.
A key function of the Cell is its strong liaison with corporate organisations, startups, research institutions, and industry partners. Through these collaborations, the Cell facilitates internships, live projects, industry training, and final placements for students graduating from the University. These engagements ensure that students gain valuable exposure to real-world challenges and industry practices even before they complete their academic programmes.
To strengthen Industry–Institute Interaction, the Cell regularly organizes technical talks, expert lectures, career guidance sessions, national seminars, and industry workshops. These platforms provide students with opportunities to interact directly with industry leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and alumni, helping them gain insights into current industry trends, technological advancements, and career opportunities.
Through its holistic and proactive approach, the Placement and Career Guidance Cell of Digital University Kerala aims to develop industry-ready professionals equipped with technical expertise, innovative thinking, and leadership capabilities. By fostering strong industry connections and providing continuous professional development opportunities, the Cell ensures that students are well-prepared to succeed in dynamic global technology and innovation ecosystems.
