Research Background: Polymer/Organic Solar Cells and Computational Nanophotonics
Shamjid P is an Assistant Professor at the School of Digital Sciences, Digital University Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. He holds a PhD in Physics from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut. His doctoral research focused on the computational and experimental investigation of organic/polymer solar cells, with particular emphasis on improving device performance through advanced materials and nanostructures.
His current research interests focus on Remote sensing, Microwave and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging, Machine learning for earth observation, and AI/ML applications in materials and device optimization.
Prior to joining Digital University Kerala, he served as an Assistant Professor in Physics at SAFI Institute of Advanced Study, Malappuram, and Dayapuram Arts and Science College for Women, Kozhikode. He also worked as a Guest Lecturer at MES Mampad College, Malappuram.
