Environmental Communication

This specialization is ideal for those who want to bridge the gap between science and society, ensuring that critical environmental messages are heard and acted upon.
Candidates must possess either a 3-year or a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in any stream of science, engineering, arts, or humanities with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks (or equivalent, with relaxation for reserved categories as per university norms). Students in the final year/ semester can also apply. However, if selected, their admission will be subject to the production of the requisite certificates on time.
Admission is based on the entrance examination. Prospective candidates aspiring to join this program are required to take part in either the CUET(PG)-2025 or Digital University Admission Test (DUAT)-2025 examination (Test Code: DUAT 04). The school will decide the cut-off mark for admission.

Graduates of the MSc Environmental Science programme with specializations in Environmental Data Science, Ecological Informatics, Sustainability Studies, and Environmental Communication can pursue diverse career opportunities across research, industry, government, and civil society organizations. They may work as environmental data scientists, climate data analysts, GIS and remote sensing specialists, biodiversity informatics experts, ecological modellers, sustainability consultants, ESG analysts, environmental policy analysts, and carbon accounting professionals. MERIT-CUM-MEANS SCHOLARSHIPS: Merit Cum Means (MCM) Scholarship (except that of Flexible and Executive Masters Programs) 20% of the BPL category students eligible for MCM Scholarship from the University. The value of the scholarship shall be equivalent to 50% of their Tuition Fee for all semesters. The eligibility shall be based on the annual income of the parent and the merits of the students.
