Therefore, better data mining and machine learning algorithms are in need to process such data to get meaningful result. This center aims to develop advanced machine learning tools for pattern and object identifications, which include marine data, surveillance data and medical images. In addition, this Centre will serve as a platform for research in image processing and pattern recognition, with a deep focus on developing computational methods for solving problems related to pattern recognition and machine learning. The research cell will work towards Image Processing, Video Processing, Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, and Machine Learning etc.<\/p>\nCEPIA's mission is to<\/br>\n\u2022\tProvide a high-quality scientific foundation for research in pattern and image analysis.<\/br>\n\u2022\tPromote innovation and creativity in this area.<\/br>\n\u2022\tDevelop new research skills through training courses and workshops.<\/br>\n\u2022\tEnsure awareness of current trends and developments.\n\u2022\tProvide access to international standards.<\/br>\n\u2022\tBuild community among researchers from different disciplines working in pattern and image analysis.<\/br>\n<\/div>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0aa0fd0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-thim-text-box\" data-id=\"0aa0fd0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"thim-text-box.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"thim-sc-text-box style-4 size-default \">\n\t        <div class=\"title-1\">WISE<\/div>\n\t\n\t        <div class=\"title-2\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Women Incubation, Startups and Entrepreneurship (WISE) cell is an initiative at the Digital University that aims to provide a platform for women with the knowledge and resources they need to launch their own businesses. The programme is intended to assist women in finding innovative ways to overcome the obstacles and build businesses they can be proud of.<\/bR>\nThis cell aims to help women to improve their skills and knowledge in this field while making new friends interested in starting their businesses. The emphasis will be on assisting women with their business plans and providing advice on problem solving when starting their businesses. WISE provides women with mentorship, advice, and support. There is a team to assist them in riding smoothly through the entire process.<\/br>\nThinklab is a programme that distinguishes the WISE incubation programme from other government incubation programs. The ThinkLab will assist in developing prototypes in response to the needs of registered entrepreneurs and the general public. WISE forms a developer group in the Thinklab, along with student interns, to create specialized tools\/products.<br\/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.duk.ac.in\/wise\">www.duk.ac.in\/wise<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b18263b elementor-widget elementor-widget-thim-text-box\" data-id=\"b18263b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"thim-text-box.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"thim-sc-text-box style-4 size-default \">\n\t        <div class=\"title-1\">CAPACITY BUILDING<\/div>\n\t\n\t        <div class=\"title-2\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our capacity-building programs are designed to equip participants\u2014from students and researchers to industry professionals and government officials\u2014with both the theoretical foundations and hands-on skills needed to excel in AI, data science, and language computing. Through a blend of interactive workshops, project-based learning, and expert mentorship, attendees gain practical experience in areas such as machine learning, natural language processing, neurotechnology, and software localization. By partnering with academic and industry leaders, we ensure our curriculum remains cutting-edge and directly applicable, empowering learners to drive innovation and implement real-world solutions across diverse domains.<\/div>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8d7779f elementor-widget elementor-widget-thim-text-box\" data-id=\"8d7779f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"thim-text-box.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"thim-sc-text-box style-4 size-default \">\n\t        <div class=\"title-1\">ILMT<\/div>\n\t\n\t        <div class=\"title-2\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The objectives of this ILMT project are two fold:<br\/>\n  \u25cf Enhance the Sampark Indian Language Machine Translation System (ILMT) for real time, online deployment over the web for general use.  :<br\/>\n\u25cf Identify specific user organization and integrate two of the Sampark MT System with their application in their workflow. :<br\/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The  following  bidirectional  MT  systems  developed  under  ILMT  project  would  be  taken  up  for  further  enhancement  of  quality: [Tamil-Hindi], [Telugu-Hindi],[Marathi-Hindi],[Bengali-Hindi],[Tamil-Telugu],[Urdu-Hindi],[Kannada-Hindi],[Punjabi-Hindi],[Malayalam-Tamil]. The entire project required the translator to be trained and develop to translate analyses and understand how each of those words would co-relate. The whole team worked on preparing models with semantics, grammar, and syntax.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The primary goal for the team was to find a way to enable machine-learning techniques to produce rich and quality translations. The agenda of the ILMT project included the following:<\/p>\n\u2022\tTo Enhance the Sampark Indian Language Machine Translation System (ILMT) in real-time and provide online deployment over the web for general usage.<br\/>\n\u2022\tImprove accuracy.<br\/>\n\u2022\tImprove speed.<br\/>\n\u2022\tTurn the MT System into a product.<br\/>\n\u2022\tTo identify specific user organizations and provide integration of the Sampark MT System with their in-house application.<br\/>\n\u2022\tBuild MT workbench for human translators.<br\/>\n\u2022\tCustomize MT System for the selected user organization.<br\/>\n\u2022\tDeployment at user site and provide onsite hand holding support system.<br\/>\n<\/div>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2dc8f05 elementor-widget elementor-widget-thim-text-box\" data-id=\"2dc8f05\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"thim-text-box.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"thim-sc-text-box style-4 size-default \">\n\t        <div class=\"title-1\">ILCI<\/div>\n\t\n\t        <div class=\"title-2\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Indian  Language  Corpora  Initiative  (ILCI)  is a  central government-funded project driven by the Department of Information Technology(DIT) aims to provide a common language platform by creating a  parallel  annotated  corpora  in  the  tourism  &  health  domain in 11 Indian languages with Hindi as the source  language. The main objective of the project is to build an annotated parallel  corpora  with  standards  and  tools  for  12  major  Indian  languages  including  English   \u2013  8  Indo  Aryan  languages  and  3  Dravidian  languages plus English in the domain of tourism and health.  8 Indo Aryan languages \u00ac (Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Bangla, Oriya, Gujrati, Marathi and Konkani), 3 Dravidian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam).  ILCI is a consortia project with 11 members; IIITM-K is assigned for the work of Malayalam Language.  The  work  involves  developing  and  building  Corpora  collection,  Corpora  annotation,  Standards  and  Tool  development.<\/div>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ae0fc1e elementor-widget elementor-widget-thim-text-box\" data-id=\"ae0fc1e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"thim-text-box.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"thim-sc-text-box style-4 size-default \">\n\t        <div class=\"title-1\">MICRONET<\/div>\n\t\n\t        <div class=\"title-2\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">MICRONet (Mobile Infrastructure for Coastal Region Offshore Communications & Networks) is a collaborative project, funded by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology under the Media Lab Asia, New Delhi. The project aims to develop an affordable system to provide a Mobile Infrastructure for Coastal Regions of India to enable Offshore Communications and to solve the technology challenges faced by the fishermen community in India today, specifically by providing extendable and adaptable communication and connectivity while they are out at sea.ie MICRONet provides an effective and reliable communication system that helps fisherman stay connected with their peers during deep-sea fishing or unfavorable weather. In addition, this portal notifies all stakeholders - boat owners, other fishermen, and official maritime rescue operators - to get real-time information about the whereabouts of the vessels from the respective harbors. For the execution of the project, three premier institutions in Kerala are involved, Amrita University, Kollam, Indian Institute of Space Technology (IIST), Trivandrum and Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management- Kerala (IIITM-K), Trivandrum. Amrita University, Kollam is assigned to Wireless Infrastructure development that in Physical and Data link layer and to suggest a cost effective wireless technology for Fishermen\u2019s safe fishing. IIST concentrates on Network Layer for long range Wi-Fi and its protocols. IIITM-K works on Application layer for providing various services to Fishermen and other communities through web and mobile using the proposed infrastructure. The project is in the development and experimentation phase only. IIITM-K is targeted to develop a web based and mobile-based Information dissemination and management system to provide information seamlessly, appropriate real time data is required for the progress of the work.
